Audyence
Sr. Product Manager
The kind of person who joins the Audyence Product Team is fearless, courageous, passionate, and willing to dream big and then execute on it. We are committed to helping you grow, challenging you with hard, meaningful work, and celebrating our successes and learnings together. We also value strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on large, ambitious, and often ambiguous projects that disrupt the advertising and marketing technology ecosystem.
As the voice of our customers globally, you'll deeply understand how to make users' lives better through software. One of our core product principles is "build with integrity." We expect you to represent our company and exercise good judgment, by balancing the needs of our diverse agency clients, partnerships, and the programmatic industry as a whole. In this role, you will own the roadmap and execution for Audyence Real-Time Demand, our demand-side platform (DSP). This can include UI/API experiences for building and managing data science models and pipelines that define how we evaluate and bid on ad opportunities. As a Product Manager for Audyence RTD, you will be working closely with stakeholders across our UX/UI, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Sales Teams - helping think through tradeoffs in workflow implementations, visualizations, model approaches, and customer impact. In addition to those teams, you will be working with executive-level stakeholders to bring our shared vision for outcomes-based programmatic advertising to life.
Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Gather and analyze data about customers, competitors, and market trends to make informed decisions about product features, pricing, and positioning
- Product Vision: Clearly communicate the product vision, goals, and objectives, including the project scope, timelines, milestones, and expectations for the team and stakeholders
- Product Roadmap: Develop and manage the product roadmap, including setting release dates and managing product development
- Product Performance: Oversee product performance by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess how effectively the product achieves its business objectives
- Product Strategy: Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop product requirements
- Product Development: Identify and define new features, produce a business plan, work with Design to develop a prototype, and manage the project
- Collaborate: Plan and coordinate the work within the team and with other stakeholders, such as senior management, engineering, marketing, sales, legal, and finance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience.
- Background in software development, engineering, or data science/analytics a plus.
- Prior experience in programmatic advertising, marketplaces, and/or marketing technology companies a plus.
- Prior experience with pricing systems and machine learning models a plus.
- Ability to distill highly complex, technical concepts, into simple and clear communication.
- A sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
- Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
- Strong interest with a decent understanding of what artificial intelligence, computing and deep learning can do -- a passion for technology and how to apply that to problems of massive scale.
- Integrity Always -- Sometimes the right way isn’t the quickest way or the most profitable way. But good PMs do things the right way because it’s the ethical way. Prioritize transparency, honesty, and decency over everything else.
- Think Big -- Identify, outline, and shape the roadmap of the next major initiatives by collaborating with various stakeholders from leadership, engineering, data science, and product. Create and communicate a bold direction that inspires results.
- Earn Trust & Respect -- your work matters. Your features matter. You care and give your all, and earn the trust and respect of your peers and customers.
- FITFO -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You try many different approaches to the right answer. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle for failure.
- Take Agile Action -- Speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. Good PMs take calculated risks.
- Be Customer Obsessed -- Good PMs start with the customer and work backwards. They work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust, no matter how heavy the lift. Although they pay attention to competitors, they obsess over customers.
- Take Ownership -- Good PMs are owners. They think long term and don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results. They act on behalf of the entire company, beyond just their own team or ideas. They convince others of their ideas.
- Collaborative -- the best PMs are not necessarily those with the best ideas, but those that ensure the right thing gets done.
- Selfless -- Product Management is about making sure the best work gets done by the team and making sure they share in the credit.
